A federal judge on Wednesday rejected a last-ditch attempt to save New York redistricting maps unconstitutionally gerrymandered to favor Democrats, arguing the lawsuit is a "Hail Mary pass" and his Ukrainian refugee father taught him to respect "free, open and rational elections."
