Harris ripped by Trump campaign after Beyoncé doesn't perform at packed rally: 'They lied to build a crowd' https://ift.tt/gRyhmJ4

Former President Trump blasted Vice President Kamala Harris Saturday over an appearance with Beyoncé at which critics say Harris and the media intentionally misled attendees into thinking the superstar would perform.  "Beyoncé went up and spoke for a couple of minutes and then left, and the place went crazy," Trump told a crowd in Michigan. "They booed the hell out of everybody. They thought she was going to perform. What happened was my opponent got up and started speaking, and they booed the hell out of her. It’s crazy. They have to use people to get people to come, and then they send buses. We don’t send buses. Everybody comes. We’re just going to make America great again. It’s very simple." Several media outlets, including MSNBC, promoted Beyonce’s appearance with Harris in Houston on Friday by saying that the music superstar would perform, prompting criticism from conservatives who accused Harris of intentionally misleading the public. Beyoncé did speak, but...

Biden administration greenlit refugee applications for members of bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang: report https://ift.tt/OIe30qC

The Department of Homeland Security reportedly approved refugee applications for members of a Venezuelan gang now causing havoc in states across the U.S., and authorities have increased efforts to track and deport members. Kevin Grigsby, the head of refugee operations at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, told officials in an internal email that members of Tren de Aragua had been approved for refugee status and made it to the U.S. before a different agency spotted tattoos indicating gang membership. They were then stopped from entering, according to The Washington Times. "Unfortunately, we did not ask about the tattoos during our adjudication or did not identify that the tattoos asked about were consistent with gang membership," he wrote in a Sept. 16 email, the Times reported. Intelligence report says Iran will keep trying to kill Trump regardless of election outcome https://ift.tt/HZKbfeT

A new intelligence report says Iran will keep trying to kill former President Donald Trump regardless of the outcome of the election – and U.S. adversaries will continue trying to undermine confidence in the election even after Nov. 5.  A partially redacted report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), released Tuesday, found that "efforts by Iran to assassinate former President Donald Trump and other former U.S. officials" are "likely to persist after voting ends, regardless of outcome." In September, Trump’s campaign said that intelligence officials warned the Republican candidate of " real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him." The U.S. has gone to unprecedented lengths to protect the former president from retaliation from Iran for the killing of General Qassem Soleimani.  Both Trump and his high-level officials who ordered the strike in 2020 have faced death threats from Iran, which also recently hacked Trum...

Biden seeks to cement legacy on climate change in remaining months as president https://ift.tt/dlDbFsN

President Joe Biden is seeking to cement his climate legacy by allocating billions of dollars for energy and environment-related projects in the remaining months of his presidency. Biden ramped up his administration's energy-related spending in October, announcing several new initiatives after former President Donald Trump said on the campaign trail that if elected, he would "rescind all unspent funds under the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act," which could directly impact Biden's climate projects. On Thursday, the Department of the Interior approved the Fervo Cape Geothermal Power Project in Beaver County, Utah, which seeks to expand geothermal energy on public lands. The Energy Department also announced nearly $2 billion in funding for 38 power grid projects for clean energy, and on Tuesday, the administration allocated $428 million for 14 clean energy manufacturing projects in former coal communities. A total of 9,088,583 registered voters were tallied across the state when the sign-up period ended at midnight on Monday. Registered Democrats maintained a lead over registered Republicans, at 3,971,607 registered Democrats to the GOP’s 3,673,783.  More than 1.4 million voters are registered as third-party or independent voters in the Keystone State.  Though the Democratic Party accounts for nearly 44% of registered voters compared to the GOP's 40%, it has seen its advantage over Republicans dwindle this year.  BIDEN'S OLD BACKYARD NOW A KEY PENNSYLVANIA BATTLEGROUND FILLED WITH 'PURPLE' VOTES In 2020, there were 9,090,962 registered voters across the parties in Pennsylvania, only slightly more ...

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign released a new digital advertisement that targets Black men's love lives, insinuating that they will be rejected by women if they don’t have a plan to vote. The ads depict a dating game in which a Black man approaches a group of women who are holding balloons. They begin to ask him questions about himself, including how much he makes, how tall he is and whether he works out. The man’s answers get seemingly positive responses from the women, until one asks him if he has a plan to vote in November. "Nah, not my thing," the man says, prompting all the women in the scene to pop their balloons. "Vote.
