Poll shows Biden hitting record low approvals, falling behind against Trump in 2024 matchup https://ift.tt/p4GZL9a

President Biden's approval rating has hit an all-time low, and he trails former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical head-to-head 2024 matchup. Trump leads Biden 47% to 43% in a hypothetical ballot between only those two candidates and trails 37% to 31% in a hypothetical ballot with five independent candidates, according to the results of a Wall Street Journal poll released Saturday. The president's sagging numbers against Trump also come as voters gave Biden low approval marks, including only 23% of respondents saying Biden's policies have helped them personally, compared to 53% who say they have been hurt by the president's policies.  About half of respondents said they were helped by Trump's policies when he was president, and only 37% said the former president's policies harmed them. "If universities keep pushing racial hatred, euphemistically called DEI, we need to look at their funding." JD VANCE IN LETTER TO BIDEN ADMIN ACCUSES WAPO WRITER OF ENCOURAGING 'OPEN REBELLION' AGAINST US "I write to express frustration with the culture at my alma mater, The Ohio State University, and to understand how that culture might change once you become its president," the senator's letter reads....

"In the context of the national discourse, Stanford unequivocally condemns calls for the genocide of Jews or any peoples," the school posted on X. "That statement would clearly violate Stanford’s Fundamental Standard, the code of conduct for all students at the university." Sen. Tuberville vows to continue fighting DOD abortion policy: 'Time to change the game plan' https://ift.tt/nKYlwsZ

FIRST ON FOX: After months of holding military promotions over the Pentagon's abortion policy, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., relented this week amid growing calls from lawmakers – including some in his party – to drop them. He blamed Democrat senators for not coming to the table to negotiate. "I couldn't get anybody to negotiate," Tuberville told Fox News Digital on Thursday. "Democrats cared nothing about negotiating, and they wanted to stick by the unlawful executive order." Tuberville released all holds except about a dozen four-star generals, which he said he'll likely vote for when they're brought to the floor.  The Alabama Republican's change of tune comes as a Democrat-led effort to change Senate rules to allow hundreds of promotions to proceed without voting individually was gaining momentum from lawmakers, including some in his own party.  "I hated to drop the holds, but I didn't want them to change the rules in the Sena...

"I'm confident, Margaret, that I will be there, that we have all the qualifications necessary to get there," Christie said. The debate is set to happen Wednesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Republican National Committee is expected to announce the participants Monday. Christie also told the show host it is too early to make election predictions. "Look, if we listen to all the polling, Margaret, Hillary Clinton would be in her second term. So I don't believe that polling is nearly as reliable as it used to be. And I don't believe that people tell the truth to pollsters," he said, adding that in 2007 polls showed Mitt Romney in the lead, in 2011 Newt Gingrich and in 2017 Ben Carson, none of whom held the White House.
