The Minneapolis City Council on Friday approved an agreement with the state to revamp policing, nearly three years after a city officer killed George Floyd. Jury deliberations in the civil trial between Gwyneth Paltrow and Terry Sanderson began Thursday afternoon. Sanderson has sued Paltrow for $300,000, claiming she left him severely injured after a ski collision in 2016. Sanderson and Paltrow have very different recollections of the incident. The actress claims Sanderson skied into her from behind, while the retired optometrist has stated Paltrow hit him. Paltrow countersued Sanderson for $1 and attorneys' fees. Shortly after the jury was dismissed for deliberations, a lawyer representing various media outlets argued a still camera and video camera should be allowed to capture the plaintiff, defendant and counsel's reactions. Nineteen Republican state attorneys general are siding with parents in a lawsuit against a Massachusetts school district that encouraged their children’s gender transition and shut the parents out of the decision by claiming the parents weren’t support enough. Led by Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, the AGs filed an amicus brief in the case against Ludlow Public School in Massachusetts brought by parents Stephen Foote and Marissa Silvestri.
